Our local newspaper no longer carries stock quotesthat is why we use USA TODAY. I have my students create a stock portfolio and then track their investments over a 10 week period. Afterwards, they graph their investments and write letters to the investor relations department of each of their companies, requesting annual and quarterly reports as well as free promotional material. In advanced classes, we also follow bonds, treasuries, mutual funds, and commodities. USA TODAY is great for all of this.
