How do you see the evolution of the newspaper in the next five years?

Over the next five years, the newspaper will change but will not by any means disappear. News sharing is an exercise of solidarity: the newspaper is a physical means for people to connect over understanding someone’s personal situation. In addition, news outlets are, at their most pure, educational forums where readers enhance their own daily life by learning about other’s experiences. I do believe that internet and virtual forms of news, from online versions to outlets like Twitter, will become increasingly prevalent and user-friendly and through this evolution I hope that local and national news attain equal attention and the ethics of journalism remain at the forefront.

Five reasons you love your school

  1. The Super-Fan tradition on game day: It’s great to see generations of BC students returning to campus all decked out in their gold t-shirt.
  2. Jesuit professors.
  3. Community: Every student admitted at the start of matriculation receives 3 years of on-campus housing creating loyalty within of dormitories, classes and overall school spirit.
  4. St. Ignatius of Loyola has an awesome statue in the middle of campus and a message that pervades all that is BC: “Men and Women for Others.”
  5. The Drop Kick Murphys performed our fight song “For Boston.”
