The election of Barack Obama is a historic milestone for the United States in many ways. As the country prepares for his inauguration, it will also be preparing for challenges that have few, if any, precedents in American history. Using information from all sections of today’s paper, list at least four ways the Obama administration will be different from any other in American history. For each difference, list at least two challenges that will go along with it. Next, find a partner and combine your lists. Then, choose one of the challenges you indentified and present two possible ways to solve it. If time permits, share your challenge and solution with the class.
