How do you see the evolution of the newspapers in the next five years?

I think newspapers will start to focus on providing things that they can do better than other forms of media such as television or the internet. This will include longer, more in-depth articles that give a better picture than can be given by a 30 second news clip or a top ten list on the internet. I think there will also be more interesting use of images and graphics in ways that can’t be replicated by other sources.

John Stewart or Stephen Colbert?

While Colbert’s Super PAC—Americans for a Better Tomorrow, Tomorrow—is one of the greatest things to happen to this country in a long time, I’m still a Jon Stewart kind of guy.

If you could have any superpower, what would it be?

I don’t know if it counts as a super power but I really want to be Captain America.

If you could travel to any country, where would you go?

I’m planning to go to Poland for a semester next spring.

What is the most interesting article you’ve ever written?

I wrote a satirical piece predicting an imminent economic apocalypse due to my school’s use of fiat Dining Dollars. It started quite a buzz on campus as a large number of students missed the anti-gold standard undertones and thought I was actually insane.

What was the last (non-required) book that you read?

Oddly, I don’t really remember what I read last, but the best book I’ve ever read was The Fall by Albert Camus. If you haven’t heard of it check it out, it’s a quick read and it might just blow your mind.

What was the first thing that you wanted to be when you grew up?

A famous rich man. I was never too specific about how I was going to make that happen.
