Five reasons you love your school:
1. IU Basketball. Best in the nation, baby!
2. The School of Journalism.
3. $2 Tuesdays at Kilroy’s. And $3 Thursdays.
4. All of the restaurants on 4th Street — Indian, Thai, Tibetan, Italian, Turkish… I don’t discriminate.
5. Little 5, the greatest college week in America.
If you could have any super power, what would you choose?
Doesn’t everyone say teleport? Or read minds or something like that? I’d like to do all that stuff, too, but for the sake of originality, I’ll say the ability to eat as much food as I want without gaining weight. Is that bad?
Who’s your favorite person to follow on Twitter?
P. Diddy (@IAmDiddy). He does not disappoint.
If you could travel to any country, where would you go?
Since it’s freezing right now, I would go anywhere in French Polynesia that has those over-the-water bungalows with the glass floors. But normally I’d say Antarctica.
What is the most interesting article you’ve ever written?
I wrote a magazine article last year about a man who sells this rare species of exotic fish. He breeds them in his house and raises them like they’re his children. As crazy as it sounds, those fish have actual personalities!
One of the most quirky things about you is…
I can do really good accents! Brooklyn is my favorite.
What was the last (non-required) book that you read?
I just read Mindy Kaling’s Is Everyone Hanging Out Without Me? in one sitting. I love her. I’ve been going through a non-fiction/humor phase lately since that’s the kind of stuff I write.
What was the first thing you wanted to be when you grew up?
A Spice Girl. Preferably Posh Spice. I would’ve been OK with Ginger, too.
