Cathryn Sloane graduated from the University of Iowa with a degree in English with a concentration in writing. She is now the marketing coordinator for Varsity Tutors.
During college, she was a reporter for The Daily Iowan newspaper, and she was chosen for the very selective Undergrad Creative Writing Track upon her acceptance at Iowa. She has interned at both ALIVE Magazine in St. Louis and KTVI/KPLR, a local TV news station in St. Louis.
