Caitlin is an honors student at Arizona State University’s Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication. Through Barrett, the Honors College, Caitlin is pursuing a four-year combined bachelor’s degree in journalism with an emphasis in print/digital and a specialization in business journalism and Master’s degree in mass communication.

Currently, Caitlin is involved with numerous publications, at varying levels of activity.

Caitlin is a night editor and staff reporter for the Downtown Devil, a online publication dedicated to providing news to students of Arizona State University Downtown Phoenix campus and the surrounding community. A staff reporter since August 2010, Caitlin has covered Downtown campus organizations and speakers, in addition to community events such as the 47th Annual Economic Forecast Luncheon.

As a writer for the State Press Magazine at Arizona State University, Caitlin is an active member of Student Media, working to develop writing skills in the magazine style, long form journalism. Starting in January 2011 as a “junior writer,” she covered smaller department features for SPM. Promoted to a big kid position, “writer,” Caitlin started doing long-form features and profiles in addition to contributing to the other departments.

In addition to her freelance work for USA TODAY College, Caitlin writes long-form event coverage with shelf-life for the Cronkite Journal, the Cronkite School’s annual magazine, and music coverage for Mwari Magazine.
