When I was reintroduced to personality type theory and learned more about my own type, I was in my early 40′s. I so wish I’d been able to really understand about type theory in my early 20′s. It would have made a major difference in the choices I made. I really had no idea of the strengths I was born with. I’d been introduced to the Myers Briggs Type Indicator many years before, but not from a standpoint of really understanding its power.

Visit your college or university career services office; they probably have the Myers-Briggs and the Strong Interest Inventory or similar career assessments, and trained counselors who can help you interpret the results and use them to inform your career decisions and educational planning — and they are probably available without charge or for a nominal fee.

Knowing your personality type, and being able to spot them in others, is also really important as a Post Grad. It can help tremendously in the hiring process and how you relate to co-workers, friends and potentially romantic interests.
